São Miguel is an island in the Azores archipelago with approximately 744 square kilometers located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and with more than 20 surf spots with different types of waves. 

ECO SURFING AZORES always chooses the right location for the lesson acording on the sea conditions, characteristics of the surf spot and the student's experience.

According to the student's experience and the time spent practicing the sport, the division of surf levels is carried out as follows:

Beginner Level 0 - Individuals who have never tried surfing before or who have done it a few times more than 6 months ago and need to refresh basic skills. 

Beginner Level 1 - Individuals who already have some experience in white water (foam) but need to gain consistency and improve their performance in basic skills. 

Intermediate Level 2 - Individuals with more experience who already master the basic skills of catching foam and are in a transition phase from the outside to catching green waves.

Please select the level in your reservation that best matches your experience so that you feel comfortable and get the most out of the experience.

- Surf lessons lasts 2 hours and include all the necessary surfing material (surfboard, leash and wetsuit),    it´s also included an individual insurance  and we provide safety material.

-The minimum age to take surf lessons is 14 years old (Classes for younger children will soon be available)

- It is recommended that you bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and water.

- Surf Guiding do not include surf material.
